Hilmar Alois Hildebrand

Hilmar Alois Hildebrand was born August 22, 1936 in Spring Branch, Texas. Hilmar, age 85, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Hilmar was married to Catherine for over 58 years. He’s a retired military veteran from the U.S. Air Force Reserves with over 30 years of service. He was employed for over 40 years and retired from Gaylord Container Box Company. He loved to garden and enjoyed hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregor and Marie (Neugebauer) Hildebrand; Wife, Catherine (Jendrusch) Hildebrand; Brothers, Reinold Hildebrand, Victor Hildebrand, and Marcus Hildebrand; Sister, Mary McGee; Brother-in-Laws, Chester Jendrusch, Edmund Jendrusch, Fabian Jendrusch, and Marvin Jendrusch; and Sister-in-Law, Lillian Kotzur.

Hilmar is survived by his sons, Carl (Kristen) Hildebrand and Darrell (Sonya) Hildebrand; Daughter, Brenda Hildebrand; Sisters, Helen Voigt and Betty Wriston; Brother-in-Laws, Lucian (Norma) Jendrusch and Ernest (Aileen) Jendrusch; Sister-in-Laws, Gladys (Otto) Waclawczyk, Agnes Jendrusch, and Mary Jane Jendrusch; and Granddaughters, Macie Hildebrand and Kailee Hildebrand. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A mass for Hilmar will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 2829 Ackerman Road, Kirby, Texas 78219. Following the mass will be an interment with military honors from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, Texas 78266.
