Florentina (Astran) Alvarado born October 16th, 1924 in Martindale, Texas passed away on March 15th, 2016 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents Isidoro and Juanita (Soto) Astran and sons Florentino and Jesus Alvarado. She is survived by children Frederico Alvarado and wife Diane, Adelaida Benson and husband Henry, Antonio Alvarado and wife Donna, Ricardo Alvarado, Seneida Alvarado, Antonia Sanchez and husband Tony, and Susie Jimenez and husband Stan, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday March 20th, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday March 21st, 2016 at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1065 East Live Oak Road Schertz, Texas 78154 with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
