Eva Irma Narro Delgado entered the loving arms of our Lord on January 16, 2023, at the age of 83. She was born on April 18, 1939 in McAllen, Texas to Eva Garza and Jose Maria Narro. She was married to Juan Gilberto Delgado for 60 years. In 2001, Eva retired from Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union as a Loan Officer.
Eva, most commonly known as Momo, was quick-witted & had a good sense of humor. She loved dogs so much, her home always had a pet dog that quickly turned into family and would be spoiled with love and snacks. She had a passion for gardening, crochet, needlepoint and handmade Christmas stockings. Her handmade Christmas stockings were so beautiful and it felt like such a treat watching them hang from her living room wall every Christmas. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain family and friends. She and her late husband, Dodo loved to host family gatherings and bbq’s. Everyone could feel their love beaming through the walls. She will be immensely missed by all.
Eva will be reunited in heaven with her parents, Eva and Jose; brother, Ramiro Narro; sister, Aida Vela; and her beloved husband, Juan Delgado;
Eva’s memory will always live on in her loving children, Cynthia (Robert) Gloria, and Gilbert Delgado; grandchildren, Jonathan Delgado (Lee Ann Pereira), Megan Delgado, Julian Delgado, Matthew (Kimberly) Nowinsky, Nina Gloria, Cynthia (Michael) Vecera, and Valerie Gloria; great-grandchildren, Lily Pereira, Layton Delgado, Dax Nowinsky, Adam Nowinsky, Luke Nowinsky, Emma Treviño, and Rey Treviño, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A visitation for Eva will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 PM Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Church of the Good Shepherd, 1065 E Live Oak Rd., Schertz, TX 78154. A committal service will follow at 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
