Elinor Kirsten Strot, age 88 of San Antonio passed away September 15, 2010. She was born March 24, 1922 in Stavanger, Norway to Lars Ben and Klara Marie (Carlson) Hansen. She was a member of the Army Residence Community Golden K Kiwanis Club. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Major Lloyd S. Strot, USAF, Ret. Survivors include her children, Linda Strot Hansen, Rick Strot, Nan Higgins, Beth Brooks and Karen Strot; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Army Residence Community Chapel. Graveside services and interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the ARC Golden K Kiwanis Club or the Elinor and Lloyd Strot Scholarship at Texas Lutheran University, 1000 W. Court St., Seguin, TX 78155.
