To Ms. Dorothy's Family:
It was truly an honor and blessing to have known Mamacita and Pop Rogers.  They were blessed to have such great children, especially Pammy and we thank her for helping us meet her great parents. Pam was the best daughter and friend that her parents could've had. Pam didn't "still live" with her parents, she was a blessing to have "them" still live with her.  She cared for them as all children should have their parents live and be loved. She enjoyed them and helped them enjoy life to its fullest.  She helped them travel and experience places in the world that most people just get to dream about. She flew with them,she drove them around, helped them climb to high places, frozen places,forests and mountains and some of the most beautiful places in the world. She could have gone to all of these places, carefree and alone but Pammy loved and cherished her Dad and Mamacita to the very end.  Their wants and needs were no problem to her and I know that we and her parents are so proud that she was not only their daughter and their constant companion and caregiver but also their special angel here on Earth. Now, both her parents are her Angels in Heaven and all of us were blessed to have been a part of their adventure.

I really didn't get to know Dorothy until after her sister Grace passed away. After that Linda and I would pick up Glen and take him to lunch. We invited Dorothy and Rogers to join us (dutch of course). This started a "family tradition". Pam was able to join us on days that she could. One day we were waiting for them to show up, we got a call that Rogers had passed away. After a few weeks Pam and Dorothy came back to our lunch group. Barbra started joining us and we all became regulars. Sheryl (our daughter) was with us most of the times. James was able to join us a few times and at times our daughter-in-law, Denise and our granddaughters Krista and Kelsey would join us. Later when our other grandkids were attending UTSA, Barrett, Ashley and Brandon would join us.
One time when we first started going out, we were eating fish at a "hole in the wall" joint. It was raining real hard and the ceiling tiles came crashing down on Dorothy. She took it like a trooper.
I once read that a person dying usually does not regret the things they did but rather the things they didn't do. I don't believe Dorothy had any regrets, she lived a very full and great life. She did and seen things that most people only dream about. I will miss our lunches. Three of you are already setting the table until we all get together again.

I will always remember the good times I had as a young girl while visiting my Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Rogers.
I remember the times in DEl Rio, Tx. and of course our times in Sherman. And who could forget the "good old days in
Victoria Courts". She had a great life and was always special to me. Later we became the lunch group every Tuesday or Thursday. I will miss her very much.

Condolences to the Family. I will miss Dorothy & her humorous whit.  I always enjoyed the luncheons & the laughter she brought to all of us.  So blessed to have had her in my life. Love ya crazy Lady!

Grandma Rogers:

Sonja, Shawn & I always loved you so much & will miss you until we all meet again.  I don't know what the children & I would have done without both you and Grandpa during the years.  Rest peacefully and give Shawn a kiss for us.  Love you,
