Dorothy Schofield was born in St. Cloud, Florida on July 8, in 1926 and was received by her heavenly Father on July 12, 2022.
As a young girl she spent time in the Seminole Hotel in St. Cloud, owned by her grandmother. Known as “Dottie” or “Aunt Dots”, she married Gene Arnold at 19 and Air Force life took them across the globe where they lived in Korea and Germany, eventually settling in Universal City, Texas. For the last 20 years Dottie was a resident of the Army Residence Community in San Antonio.
She loved people and was smart, witty, generous and never met a stranger. When Dottie was in the room, all eyes were on her because she was passing out treats and making people laugh. She will be truly missed by many.
Dottie was preceded in death by her husband Gene, half-sister Florence and her parents. Survivors include a sister, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Dottie is returning home to Florida, her final resting place.
