Cynthia Conrad Hutchison passed away on the afternoon of November 7th at the Army Residence Community. Cynthia was born on October 2, 1926 to William and Florence Clegg in Ashton-under-Lyne, England. In June of 1945 she married George F. Conrad (Col. U.S. Army Ret.) of New Orleans, Louisiana. Cynthia was active and president of numerous organizations, including the Daughters of the British Empire, Fort Sam Houston Officer's Wives Club, and Windcrest Golf Club. She was an enthusiastic golfer, avid bridge player, seamstress, great cook and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Col. George F. Conrad and later by her second husband of 11 years, Thomas O. Hutchison and grandson Casey C. O'Rorke. She is survived by her children Cyndy Pigott of Mapleton, Utah, Jean (Mark) Taylor of Larkspur, Colorado and Diana (John) O'Rorke of New Orleans, Louisiana; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on November 19th at 1:00 in the Army Residence Community Chapel, 7400 Crestway Drive. Reception immediately following.
