Cheryl was born to Rene and Mildred Bryant in November 15, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas. She grew up in San Antonio and attended Thomas Edison High School. She was a Honey Bear on the drill team and graduated in 1966. After High School she started her family and went on to raise three children. She has such a huge heart and loved kids so much that she began a career at Northside ISD. During her career she worked at several campuses falling in love with the special needs department. After many years of dedicated service she retired from Northside ISD.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents Rene and Mildred Bryant. She is survived by her three children, Jim Dorton and wife Amanda, Laurie Dorton and husband Nabor, Susan Ender and husband Jeremy; brother Ronald Bryant and wife Rebecca; grandchildren Tiffany Kirkpatrick and husband Miles, Kyle Dorton, Caleb Ender, Casey Ender, Rylee Guerrero, Caylee Ender; niece Laura Eagan and husband Chris; and nephew Christopher Bryant.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Rd, Universal City, Texas 78148. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Cemetery #2, 16075 North Evans Road, Selma, Texas.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Kirkwood Manor in New Braunfels, Texas for the loving care expressed during her stay. The family also wishes to thank Hope Hospice for the kindness, compassion and support given to Cheryl and family while in your care. We are eternally grateful for the tender love you gave her to make her last few days as comfortable and pain-free as possible.
