Ben out ranked me by a lot.  It didn't matter.  He was a friend to everyone.   We were in the 629th Medical company at Ft Ord on the Monterey peninsula, that just happens to share a border with the Laguna Seca raceway.  We and some others had motorbikes and went riding, sometimes with our wives.  These were some of the 'best of times' I had in the Army. With Ben, Tim and few others.  I'm now 68 and retired.  If Ben was with us today we would be back to having more best-of times, laughs, happiness and more of the infectiously fun and just a little crazy person he shared with us.  Ben I'm sorry your gone away from us.  This life is yours to share.

I forgot about The Jazzercize Russ. Man we had some good times! Not sure if you were in our running pack for local 10 K races but Ben named our group "Puking Buzzards", LOL. Too bad we did not all link up earlier before his passing. To be continued!

What sad news to learn one of the people I respected most in my life has been lost to us...
Ben was a friend and my First Sargent in Ft Ord.  My wife and I shared our time with him and Kathy and stayed with them a few days before leaving for Germany.     He and I were sometimes the only guys in a gym full of women doing Jazzersize... what a laugh.  5ks, motorbikes, great meals...  My crying heart... So sad. 

I was stationed with SFC Ben Rosales who was my Platoon Sergeant in the 629th Medical Clearing Company, Fort Ord, in the early 1980s. I looked for him throughout my military career and as we evolved electronically, even more. Sadly, I found him after he passed away. We were very good friends and rode Motkrcycles in that area. Him and Kathy lived in Castroville at that time and my wife hung out with him and Kathy many times. RIP brother!

We met in Germany when he was stationed in Fulda. He was such a fun Person to be with. It is sad that we never saw each other again after I left Fort Ord with my Family. Ben rest in Peace with my son Christopher who died on Sept. 17. 2018
