I do not often place the title Dr. before my name. It was a goal I had in my heart and it was your constant words of encouragement  that made me feel like I could accomplish anything in this world with hard work. I have sat in many college classes and have been taught by renowned educators on prestigious college campuses. None compared to my Mother’s teachings! I will miss the consejos-advice-counsel she gave me.  Mother you were always the extra wind beneath my wings! Until we see each other again in glory, as you would always say .

YOUR MOTHER 
is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street, she's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself. She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well, she's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow, she is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you. Not time, not space....not even death. 

Thank you for speaking with each and everyone of us about the word of God.

Our parents led by our brother Ignacio Ruiz, Jr. - Changed the trajectory of our families life. Our parents Adelina & Ignacio Ruiz, Sr. accepted Jesus Christ at Billy Graham's crusade - the rest was history.  Our mother helped our father open Alpha & Omega church in Lubbock - our father was in local television and radio stations. Teaching and spreading the gospel in both spanish and english, our mother taught bible study to the adult members of the church and many of her teachings were broadcast over the local radio waves in one of Lubbock's Christian radio stations.

Mom I love you so much and will always miss you. You belonged to God before any of us. We are forever thankful for you and the family you and dad built. Constant advices, encouragement and motivation that we can do anything. Your focus was family no matter the odds and you defied all odds. I will miss writing you letters, talking and holding each other. I will look for you in the oddest places and look forward to when you visit me in a dream or vision.  The love of God and the message of Jesus Christ was your life. As God loves the church - you love your family. As Jesus sacrificed four mankind's sins - you sacrificed for our well being. Give us the strength and wisdom you had on earth to carry out your love and dedication for each other.
