William "Billy" S. Sheridan

William S. Sheridan “Billy” 36, of Union, NJ, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Beloved son of William and Helen Sheridan. Loving brother of Brian Sheridan. Cherished nephew of Daniel Sheridan, Kathleen Kearney, Peter Sheridan, Thomas and Bernadette Sheridan, William and Barbara Martisch. Also survived by his many loving cousins and will be deeply missed by his dog and cat, Spanky and Bubba. Billy enters the arms of his loving grandparents born in Ireland and the Ukraine and also his aunts in Heaven; Daniel and Rose Sheridan and Mykola and Anna Martyshuck; Arlene Sheridan and Dolores Bauernhuber.

William was a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley in Morristown, NJ. He also was an independent contractor for the Township of Union. In high school, Billy was captain of the Union HS football team and he earned first team all state honors. He also was a Heisman all-star and one of the top players in the tri-state area.

Billy attended Murray State University in Kentucky and graduated from Trenton State College (College of New Jersey). While at Trenton State, he was captain of the football team and received the Lions Club Award in his senior year.

The family will receive their relatives and friends at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ on Thursday, April 22nd from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Holy Spirit Church, Union, NJ on Friday at 10:30AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Union High School Fifth Quarter Club, C/O Lashawn Davis, 1756 Walker Ave, Apt A, NJ 07083 would be appreciated by his family.
