Virginia S. Koenig (nee Loetzer) of Union, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday November 24, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Union 525 Thoreau Terrace Union, NJ, on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at 11 AM. Virginia was employed by NJ Bell before her retirement. She was the founder and treasurer of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Group and was a 38 year volunteer at Cornell Hall Convalescent Center in Union. Virginia was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Union, serving as Financial Secretary for 27 years and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She also loved gardening and photography. Virginia is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years Albert Koenig, her devoted children Gary, Rick and his wife Kathy Koenig and Debra and her husband Carl Rush, her loving grandchildren Nicole and Alexis Koenig, Heather and her husband Brett Christensen and Antonio Monico and her cherished great-great grandson Erik Christensen.
