Stephen R. Czyzyk

Stephen Richard Czyzyk, 45, of Hillside, passed away on March 29, 2023 and is resting peacefully now. Stephen is the son of the late Stephen John and Nancy Czyzyk. He is the beloved brother of Traci Czyzyk, loving uncle to Emma Morgan and Kara, Anthony, Kaylee, and Rosalie Kaminski, and the cousin of Kristopher Kaminski and wife Cathy, Angela Popp, Anthony Volpe and Katelyn and Steven Czyzyk. Stephen is also survived by his loving uncles James Kaminski and Richard Czyzyk, and aunts Ann Czyzyk and Doris Volpe. He is preceded in death by his uncle Paul Kaminski and his aunt Margaret Kaminski.

Stephen was born in Livingston, NJ and resided in Hillside all of his life. He attended Hurden-Looker Elementary and Walter O. Krumbiegel Middle School and then graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Elizabeth, NJ in 1996. Stephen later received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Peter’s College in 2000. He worked as an accountant for The Green Group in Woodbridge, NJ for 15 years. Stephen enjoyed playing basketball in his younger years and was passionate about watching his favorite sports teams play. He was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Boston Red Sox. He was also an active member of the Elks Lodge for over 10 years where he served as Treasurer and helped coordinate volunteering efforts. Stephen will always be remembered by all who knew him for his deep love for his family and friends. He was caring and compassionate, with a bold and memorable sense of humor that made people laugh. He will be greatly missed by those who love him.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ on Friday April 28, 2023 from 5-8PM. Funeral services will commence at 10AM on Saturday April 29, 2023 at McCracken Funeral Home, followed by interment at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, NJ.
