He was the son of the late Alfred Brenner Sr. and Cecilia Brenner.
Paul was a graduate of Hillside High School. After graduation, he worked for local plumbers and was a driver for a plumbing supply business. In 1961 he became employed by Public Service Electric & Gas Company, retiring after 35 years.
Paul served as a member of the United States Army Reserve for many years. He received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Corporal.
Paul loved sports. He played fast pitch softball, basketball, and golf. He was a member of a weekly bowling league.
Paul cherished summer vacations at the Jersey Shore with his children and grandchildren. The family also enjoyed memorable trips to North Carolina Outer Banks. Amidst these adventures, Grandpa Paul often had the most fun. Paul and Geraldine made winter trips to Florida on the Amtrak Auto Train.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Albert and Alfred Jr.
Paul is survived by his wife of 69 years, Geraldine (nee Rinaldy); his five children, Christopher (Branka), Roger (Mariann), Patricia (Jerry), Judy (Franco), and Theresa (Glenn); and sisters-in-law Elizabeth Bell and Stephanie Brenner. He also leaves eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
The visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, with a Prayer Service at McCracken Funeral Home at 11 am. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
