Martin John Farrell

Martin John Farrell, 76, passed away on April 10, 2012, in Elizabeth NJ. Born in Old Forge, PA, Martin lived in Elizabeth for the past 55 years. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University, where he starred at basketball. He taught for Township Union Public schools for 40 years. Martin was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Union Council # 4504.

Martin is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Edna (Spirito). He is also survived by his dear children Martin and his wife Laura, Susan Holland and her husband Kevin, JoEllen Donzella and her husband Mark, Ann Hart and her husband Glenn, John and his wife SuEllen, and MaryBeth and her husband Gary Sluck. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren John and Thomas Hart, MaryJo, Katherine, and Martin Donzella, Luca and Sofia Farrell, Margaret and Samuel Farrell, and Michael and Christopher Sluck.

Friends and family may call on Friday April 13 from 3-7 PM to the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Ave Union NJ. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday April 14 at St. Genevieve’s Church, Elizabeth at 10 AM with interment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martin’s name may be made to American Parkinsons Disease Association, Inc.
