She enjoyed being around people and having fun. She met and married Archer Gill and from that union had 2 sons, Laurence Gill and Kenneth Gill. Larry was the oldest and was developmentally challenged. However with all she faced as a result of the challenges with her son’s disability, Marion had an upbeat demeanor and wanted the best for them.
This also showed in her dedication working as a school teacher for over 20 years.
She was predeceased by her husband and oldest son.
Marion grew up with a religious background, and although she did not regularly attend church services, she guided her sons based on the way she had been bought up. She exposed them to a wide range of activities society had to offer, enrolling them in various activities. One of Marion’s favorite past times was bowling, she was a member of several leagues for many years. Marion was also an avid reader.
Over time illness overcame her as well. She remained with family until she had to be placed in a nursing home, where she remained until her passing.
A private Commitment Ceremony was held on Friday April 3, 2020.
A Memorial Ceremony celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
