Marion M Connors

2023 at the age of 94 surrounded by her loving children.

Marion was born in Elizabeth, NJ to Joseph G. Higgins and Marion M. Higgins. She attended

Sacred Heart School, Benedictine Academy and eventually graduated from Caldwell University

with a Business Degree. She worked at Harmonia Savings Bank, Elizabeth NJ. Marion moved

to Union, NJ in 1958 . After raising her 8 children Marion worked for Holy Spirit Church CCD

office and eventually retiring from Schering Plough Corporation, Kenilworth, NJ. Marion moved to Brick, NJ in 2020.

Marion treasured her time with her family and many friends. She was a past member of the

Holy Spirit Rosary Altar Society and 60 + Club. She was very proud of her Irish Heritage and

was a member of the Irish American Society of Union and Joseph Nugents Association.

Marion enjoyed getting her hair done, going out to eat weekly with her friends, watching her

favorite television show Blue Bloods, Yankee games and Seton Hall Men's Basketball

games. She loved vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with her entire family.

Most of all she was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Marion is survived by her eight children, Janet Lawrence, Marylou Smith, Karen Caulfield,

Kevin Connors, Judi Connors, Dan Connors (Mary), Maureen Tocci ( Ken) and Christopher

Connors ( Beth), her ten grandchildren , Ryan Giuliano ( Brian), Kevin Lawrence, Kaitlin Smith

(Shawn Bernardo) , Brendan Smith ( Margaret), Meaghan Caulfield ( Fiance, Johnny Burks),

Tiierney Connors, Danny Connors, Brady Connors, Nathan Riello and Jameson Connors, her

five great grandchildren, Ivy Giuliano, Owen Bernardo, Austen Bernardo, Calloway Smith and

Quinnlan Smith, and three nephews, Joseph Higgins, Patrick Higgins (Sherry) and Terrence

Higgins.

The family will receive their friends at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave. Union, NJ on

Tuesday morning October 10, 2023 from 9:00am - 11:00am. Immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Church, 971 Suburban Rd, Union NJ at 11:30am. Interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St.
