Margaret E. List

Margaret List, 95, of Union, NJ passed away on March 9, 2015 at Peggy Coloney’s House, Scotch Plains. Margaret was born in Newark, NJ on September 30, 1919 to George and Margaret Nemeth. She attended Drake College of Business and was employed as a secretary for the Union County Court House. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church, Union, and a faithful attendee of many senior citizen centers. She attended numerous lectures and seminars on spirituality, and was proud of her Hungarian heritage. She also enjoyed travel with her family, going to garage sales, casinos, and dancing. Margaret will be remembered as a very spiritual woman with deep faith.

Beloved wife of the late Julius M. List. Loving mother of Margaret List Smith and June List. Adoring grandmother of Jacqueline Krapf and her husband Marty, Stephanie Smith, and Stacie Smith; and great-grandmother of Savannah, Alden, and Anniston Krapf, Olivia Smith, and Caiden Aprile-Smith.

Visitation will take place on Friday, March 13th from 3-8 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union. A funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, March 14th at St. Michael’s Church, Union at 10:30 AM with entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margaret’s name to Center for Hope Hospice, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 or Sisters of St. Dominic, 1 Ryerson Ave., Caldwell NJ 07006.
