Lorraine C. Clarke

She was born on October 16th, 1939 to Elwood & Cecile Lutter in Newark, NJ.

Lorraine was a graduate of Weequahic High School in Newark, a longtime resident of Union, NJ and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was employed with Mack Boring & Parts Co. of Union for many years before retiring in 2006.

Lorraine cherished time spent with her family and special friends and hosted many gatherings in her home of almost 50 years. She also loved sharing good times in Wildwood NJ and Lancaster PA. Thank you, Mom, for all the wonderful memories you have given us and always loving us. Even though you are no longer here with us, we can still feel your love and presence.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond A. Clarke, her sister Nancy Patricia Lutter, and her brother Elwood Lutter Jr.

She is survived by her 4 children: Debra Indrawis (Samuel) of Parlin; Thomas (Lynn) of Beachwood; Robert (Anna) of Aberdeen; and Brian (Lilly) of Scotch Plains. She was the cherished grandmother of Julia, Zachary & Jaclyn Indrawis, TJ & Alyssa Clarke, and Cecily & Ethan Clarke.

She was also a special grandmother to Sandra Rahilly and her children Jacob & Hudson, Jenna Broschart, and Alyssa Caldes and her children Elana & Ensley. Lorraine was the aunt of 10 dear nieces and nephews and had many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

You will always live in our hearts and we will miss you dearly.

A visitation for Lorraine will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 4:00PM – 8:00PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union NJ. A service of remembrance will be held at 6:15PM at the funeral home.

After a final goodbye at the funeral home at 11AM, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 12 noon at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave, Union NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed in Lorraine’s name to Camp Sunshine or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
