My dear sweet friend, Kathy, 
I am shocked and saddened to learn of your passing. I think of you often and each memory always brings a smile to my face. Just this weekend, I talked about the sketches we did of each other in art class [pretty funny], and today I talked about how my mother always made chicken when you came over. She knew it was your favorite. I'll always remember the yummy pancakes your mom made for us one morning that she served with the tallest glass of milk I ever saw! Of course, we can't forget those times at Brooklyn College when I would call out "I need roller skates to keep up with you!" I can't believe I came home today to this awful news. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. My heart is broken. Rest In Peace, my friend.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Kathy’s passing. I have fond memories of time spent on the playground when our kids were little. Kathy’s smile was always a warm one. May her memory be a blessing. We send our sincere condolences to you all. 

What a loss we are all experiencing. I only wish that I had gotten to know her better.  Godspeed Kathy.

Oh Kath, I cannot believe it.  I cannot believe that I won't see your beautiful smiling face again.  I am numb and my heart and head are elsewhere.  I know you've missed Mom and Dad and the only thing I can think of in trying to make sense of this all is that you are there with them watching over Brian, Kaitlyn and Daniel.  I will miss you. My deepest condolences during this very difficult time. Kathleen was a gem of a woman. Always willing to do whatever she could for anyone. Always had a kind word for everyone. I will miss you so much Kathy. RIP 

If I close my eyes it’s like I’m sitting in her car again when I was a kid. Kaitlyn and I were always together in elementary school, so I spent a lot of time with Kathy. She was the sweetest woman in the world. I’ll miss her famous oatmeal cookies and the smile she always had for me. I know she’s watching over all of us. 

I was so blessed to work with Kathleen this year in my classroom. We shared so many laughs and stories. She truly was an angel. She adored her children and talked about them all the time. I knew about Kaitlyns travels and adventures! Your mom was so proud of you working 3 jobs Kaitlyn❤️. Daniel your mom was so proud of you for finishing college this year! That’s all she wanted! She’s also so proud of how hard you work at the restaurant too.  She was always happy that you had a good group of friends from school that you stayed in touch with. 
The children at school loved and trusted Kathleen. If they lost focus she’d say”wake up America!”  We’d laugh- Kathleen I wish you could hear me-“wake up America”! I will miss you so very much. With love- Cheryl

I was blessed to have worked with your mom at Washington Elementary School. She was one in a million. She always had a smile on her face, and never an ill word toward anyone. She was a bright shining star. I will miss her.

Kathy- your smile and goodness lit up the world. And the world is sadder today. But heaven has received a gem. 
Kathy- I have such fond memories of our college days! One of the memories that you told me you had was that we were hanging out in my house when we got the phone call from my brother that my niece was born! I hadn’t remembered that and you did!  That always stuck with me! 
I’m in Israel now so I won’t be home to attend the service. I’m so sorry about that but please know that your family will be in my heart now and always. Rest in peace, sweet friend.

We were just messaging to each other a few weeks ago about you missing my party. I’m lucky to have worked with you at St. Anselm’s and to have called you a friend. We had some great summers at the pool and we had a lot of laughs the week we spent in Wildwood. I’m just sorry we haven’t seen each other in a very long time. RIP my friend and say hi to Kathy. C. Sending my most heartfelt condolences. I had the unique opportunity to know Ms. McGroarty through St. Anselm’s. She was my sister’s Pre-K teacher and my mother’s colleague and friend. We spent many summers together at the Fort Hamilton Army base pool and we always celebrated our birthdays together (hers being the 23rd and mine being the 24th). Recently, I was in touch with her regarding my mother’s retirement and we were looking forward to getting together this summer. I even remember helping her set up her classroom one year, where I was tasked with putting together all of the cardboard bricks, because she told me she didn’t have the patience (thinking back it was probably the best task to keep a young kid occupied). It saddens me that we didn’t get our chance to meet up. Rest in the sweetest peace and give Ms. Cella a big hug and kiss!

I am so sorry to hear about this sad sad news. She was such a sweet woman. I met her at the playground at Washington. My Thomas and her daughter, kaitlyn , went to Washington together. I have very fond memories of her and our conversations.  My sincerest condolences to her family. So very sorry for your loss.

Had a wonderful conversation with Kathy on the last day of school.
I was extremely shocked to hear the news.  What a terrible loss.  Will miss you in September.
