We are so sorry for you loss. Our prayers go out to you and your family.  As the landscaper for Gregory Court for the past 28+ years, he was dedicated to his work but always made time to catch up on all the kids.   His warm smile and kindness will always be in our memories. We will miss him!

To the Shaw Family our deepest condolences of the loss of Jerry.  My dearest friend and awesome boss. You were truly an amazing person. Always helping others when they needed a hand. You always had a smile on your face. I've worked with Jerry for 15+years. It's been truly an honor working with Jerry. I began working for him when I was 18 years old. I have many good memories of Jerry. He loved my family so much. We love him and miss him so dearly. My thoughts and prayers for the whole family. May Jerry rest in peace. May God give strengths to the family during this difficult time.

You were one of the strong men in my life. One that brought smack and compassion to everything you did.  

You were my private chauffeur for my 8th grade farewell and managed to watch me around town in my teen years. Yes, I may have been testing limits and yes I may have shocked you with my words but no matter what I knew you loved me!!  You showed me how important our family was and how regardless of our challenges- we loved one another and always were there for one another.  

From the days at Beacon Hill where we all had a lot of fun working together with friends and several members of our family to life on Floyd, as I hit my 20s, with the many parties and celebrations.  You were there for me as I entered adulthood-  my friends all loved you and Aunt “Head” and still do.  You are their Uncle Jerry too.  We had fun at the Halloween parties, St Pattys Day parade/parties and ringing in the new year.  You were always the life of the party and made us laugh.  

My kids have grown up knowing you as the cool Uncle  that loved Costco and Lowe’s/Home Depot and fishing every chance you had.  Andrew always said he wanted to go with you to the best spots. Eventhough you were concerned he would be swept away.  

 You always thought of them with special gifts for the holidays and a little jest as well. I knew you as one that was well known around town and you were always a fan favorite.  I was proud when I said I was your niece.  You took pride in your work at McCrackens and I loved to see your pictures and posts of those Tulips!  I loved when you had extras you would share with me.  
You took care of Grandpa Shaw’s, Oma’s , Opa’s  and everyone else’s graves with love and pride.   Even for those you weren’t blood related to and I thank you!  We will miss you tremendously♥️♥️Love you Uncle Jer.

To the Shaw family, we are very sorry for your loss.  I have many fond memories of Jerry from our junior high and high school days.  Crazy toboggan runs in the winter at Galloping Hill Golf Course (I don’t think we ever made it to the bottom of the hill with everyone), sneaking into the drive-in movie theater through the hole in the fence (getting chased out by the owner’s son), and just hanging out on the weekends around Union with the whole “crew”.  We had such great times and always had a good laugh telling those stories over the years.  He will be missed.  We are praying for you during these difficult times and may Jerry rest in peace.

We are heartbroken to hear of Jerry’s passing. We met the Shaws 23 years ago when Clayton and Jullian entered kindergarten at Washington School. Although we didn’t see each other everyday, Jerry’s would drive by our block often and hang out to chit chat while sitting in his car.  He always had a smile on his face. We are praying for Heather and their boys during this very difficult time. 

From all of us at Union Teener League we are so very sorry for your loss. Jerry was a great man . He never said no to anyone that needed help . He was loved and well respected by everyone who knew him.

I have known Jerry for 20+ years professionally and socially.  He was one of the kindest people I’ve know.  We spent many a winter together at my shop in his off season laughing and eating jelly donuts.   I’m sharing one of my favorite pictures I have of him.   God Bless you Jerry.  The world was a better place with you here!!!

Jerry was a truly good hearted person. My memories of him from working at Ehrhart Gardens together and from high school and just around town, Jerry was a truly kind hearted soul. A hard working guy who always had a smile on his face. My thoughts and condolences to the entire Shaw family,

My memories of my cousin Jerry were very happy memories.  Growing up, all of my cousins were very close and we did everything together.  Jerry caught the garter at my first wedding and my sister Eva caught the bouquet.  What a great photo that was.  My love to everyone and my prayers and kisses too. Sending my deepest condolences to your entire family  on Jerry’s loss.
I have many wonderful memories of Jerry as our kids were growing up together and will always cherish these. Always a true gentleman. I last saw and spoke with Jerry about 1 week before I moved out of Union in July. Jerry arrived at my house for scheduled lawn care, but took the time to wish me well and to ask about my (100 year old) mom, whom I was moving to be near.
 Jerry was one of a kind and I am glad to have known him. 

I always remember how Jerry invited me to the lunch table at Union high school.I just moved from another city .Always smiling laughing just a genuine human being  .Rip my friend.

Still love the picture of you, Scott and Eva , in high school after a football game.  Both of you in your football uniforms and Eva in her cheerleading outfit.  

Jerry will be remembered as a kind man with a warm smile. Certainly a family man, but also a great business man --- with almost 30 years of working with Jerry and his team on our street in Berkeley Heights. Jerry will be missed on many levels.
