Gail Ann Signorelli (Sheeser), 71, passed away in her home on February 28, 2024. She was born to John and Muriel Sheeser in Summit and raised in Union, New Jersey where she lived the majority of her life. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Salvatore Signorelli, her children, Tina Signorelli and Russ Segreto of Pompton Lakes, and Nicole Signorelli and Steve Antonio of Riverdale, her three grandchildren, Celia, Cora, and Nicky, as well as her sister, Sharon Barker of Whiting.
Gail taught in Union for 37 years, primarily at Washington School, as a Kindergarten teacher. She was the consummate Kindergarten teacher - warm, fun, and caring. For the rest of her life, Gail was continually lovingly remembered by all her former students she ran into around town.
Gail retired from teaching in 2014 to take on her favorite role as Gammy. She loved her grandchildren immensely; they were the true joy of her life. She happily spoiled them, enthusiastically rooted for them, and constantly bragged about them.
Gail was many things to many people beyond wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be remembered as a beloved teacher, a dedicated Girl Scout leader and CCD teacher, enthusiastic softball coach, local Avon lady, accomplished tutor, trusted colleague, and loyal friend.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the McCracken Funeral Home for a memorial gathering on Monday March 4, 2024 from 3-7pm. A family gathering will he held at the funeral home on Tuesday March 5, 2024 at 10 followed by a graveside service at Graceland Memorial Park at 11am.
