Frank was born in the Dominican Republic, moved to Puerto Rico at age 5, and emigrated to Staten Island in 1953 at the age of thirteen. Frank graduated from New Dorp High School in 1957. He moved to Union, NJ, in 1998, where he and his wife, Kathleen, were prominent figures in the Fairway Civic Association. Before his retirement in 2010, he was the owner and CEO of Robb Decorators on Staten Island for forty-five years.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Ramos (who passed in 2014); loving father of Pamela Cartaya, and Shawn Ramos and his wife, Lauren; adoring grandfather of Corrina Cartaya, Louis Cartaya, and Benjamin Ramos; and brother of Beulah Dale, and her husband, Ken. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Frank will be remembered for his kindness to strangers and neighbors, his love for music, dance, and art, and his passion for golf.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 3, 10 a.m. at McCracken Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
