Cynthia was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 5, 1950. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Giannotti, sons Christopher and Robert, and granddaughter Sienna, who was her pride and joy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and treasured family and friends, including dearest friend Angie Pagano. Cynthia leaves behind her much-loved four-legged “baby girl,” Willow who brought her so much happiness. Cynthia was predeceased by her parents, Violet and Benedetto and her brother, Richard.
Cynthia’s life was grounded in family and the simplest pleasures brought meaning to her life. In addition to her creative eye, Cynthia was also a certified teacher. In fact, it was while in college where she met her husband, Bob. The two married in August of 1972 and began their family soon after with the birth of their sons Christopher and Robert. Cynthia was “mom” and teacher to many as she was always willing to lend an ear and host her sons’ countless teammates over the years. Anyone visiting the Giannotti home knew there was always a place for you at the table.
To know Cynthia was to know how she brought color into every room she entered. With a keen eye for decorating, Cynthia’s home and fashion tastes were as timeless and beautiful as her smile. Her attention to detail was evident in every room of her lovely, picture-perfect home in Mountainside, New Jersey. She loved with all of her heart, and anyone who was the recipient of that love felt it in abundance. Gifts were always wrapped prettily in ribbons and bows, and gifted with careful attention and generosity, but the greatest gift of all was the heartfelt hugs and kisses she lavishly bestowed on her friends and family.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, November 30 between the hours of 4 and 8 at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, New Jersey 07083.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 1 at 10 o’clock at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Mountainside followed by interment at Graceland Memorial Park on Galloping Hill Road in Kenilworth.
