Constantine Lawrence DiMenno, age 88, of Toms River, NJ, formerly of Union, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday May 6, 2017. A visitation will be held at McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue Union, NJ, on Thursday May 11, 2017 from 4-8 PM, during which a Masonic Service will be held at 7:00PM and a Funeral Service immediately following at 7:30 PM. Constantine was a supervisor with the Wells Fargo Alarm Company in Lyndhurst, NJ, before his retirement. Constantine, his family knew him as Stan and many knew him as Connie, served his fellow man in so many ways. His love of country saw him serve proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His love of music started as a young man in St. Ann’s School in Newark and continued throughout his life. Constantine was not only a member of the Knights of Columbus but also an active member of the Masonic Order. He held duel membership in Harmony Lodge # 18 of Toms River, NJ and Boiling Spring Lodge #152 of Rutherford, NJ. He was also an active member of Eastern Star Gloria Chapter #159 of Beachwood, NJ. Constantine was the beloved husband of Ruth Benke DiMenno and the late Audrey DiMenno Davison. Devoted father of Constance Marie and her husband Dr. Joseph DeFazio, Barbara-Jean and her husband Mark Kennedy, Judith and her late husband Austin McCarthy, Barbara Siegert, Nancy and her husband George Fields, and the late Richard DiMenno. Constantine is also the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a sister, Frances LeVicchi and brother, Salvatore DiMenno and wife Lois. Constantine is also pre-deceased by his sister Josephine Ludovico Nesta. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation (www.njmasonicgiving.org) or the New Jersey Eastern Star Home.
