Sara B Gomez-Ferrante

Born in St. Albans, NY on May 18, 1962, to the late Antonio Gomez & Carmen Victoria Tirado, Sara lived in many places across the US as the daughter of an Army veteran. Sara settled in New Jersey where she faithfully served the Union City Board of Education in multiple functions since 1994.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna, and son, Michael, her son-in-law Nick, grandchildren Lucas & Cameron, siblings Angel and Vickie, and mother Victoria, and her beloved dog, Lucy, as well as countless devoted friends. She will always be remembered for her incredible zest for life, her warm heart, and generosity of spirit.

Sara’s celebration of life will take place on Friday, June 2nd, at Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, in Union City, NJ, from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, an organization near to Sara’s heart in remembrance of her beloved father.

There will be a celebration of life for Sara to be announced at a later date.
