Miguel Muguerza, age 88, of Union City, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. He was born in Cuba and lived most of life in Union City. Miguel along with his wife, Nilda, owned La Quincalla Grocery Store in Union City for many years before retiring.
He was the beloved husband of the late Nilda Muguerza and the devoted father of Miguel Muguerza and Teresa Avella and husband Steven. H was also the loving grandfather of Christina Marie Avella.
A visitation for Miguel will be held Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ 07087. The funeral mass will be on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Holy Family Church, 530 35th Street, Union City, NJ 07087. A committal service will follow at Flower Hill Mausoleum, 5501 Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047.
