Mary Ann Fleming 81, of Weehawken, passed away peacefully on Friday October 22, 2021. She was born on April 27, 1940, in New York City and lived most of her life in Weehawken. May Ann worked as an intake specialist for the Jersey City Medical Center for many years retiring 4 years ago.
She was a devout Catholic, a Eucharistic Minister and a dedicated Religious Education Teacher for over 35 years at St. Augustine Church and Holy Family Church in Union City, NJ.
Mary Ann is survived by her three loving children, a son, Daniel Fleming Sr., his spouse Kelley, two daughters, Linda Fleming Klein, her spouse Steven Klein, and Susan Hiller and her spouse Wyatt.
Four grandchildren, Daniel Fleming Jr., Lisa Gilbert and her spouse Gabriel, Amanda Smith and her spouse Matthew, and Adam Hiller and his spouse Donna, and two great grandchildren, Kaylee Soaz and Blake Hiller.
As a mother, grandmother and great grandmother her love was never ending. She was a very kind and generous woman who made friends with everyone she met. Her compassionate, caring, friendly spirit, was admired by everyone. Mary Ann was very much loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
The visitation will be on Wednesday October 27, 2021 from 4 to 8pm. The funeral will be on Thursday October 28, 2021 at 9:30 from the Leber Funeral Home then to St Lawrence Church where at 10:30 a mass will be offered. The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington.
