Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts.
And we are never ever the same.
That is what you did to my heart Juan.

People so seldom say I love you and then it's too late they are gone.

So Juan when I tell you I love you, it doesn't mean I had guilt,  regrets, or that I didn't tell you everyday I love you.

It simply means that I miss you and wish you didn't have to go.

I know you are an angel in heaven watching over me.
So,until we meet again my love.

My deepest sympathy to the Perez family;  It's now almost a year since Juan's departure from our lives, and I continue to miss my co-worker and friend's sense of humor, thoughtfulness and kindness so very much.  Rest in peace my dear friend.

I remember when I was first starting out at Mountainside DO.  Juan was one of the first to help me and work with me if I had WHD questions.  Always helpful, always there for you when you needed a hand.  But family was what was most important to him, taking care of his loved ones and keeping them well.  Take care Juan, you will be missed.

From day one when I met him at the Old NY Regional office, I could call and ask him about almost anything and if he didn't have the answer he would steer me to the person(s) with the answer. Juan was my best friend.  He had a smile that would light up his face.  He had a heart of gold.  He didn't have the heart to hurt anyone, that he preferred to sacrfice his own happiness. I miss him everyday and he will live on in my heart.

I want to take this time to express my sincere condolences to Juan's family. May god give you the strength and healing to overcome this difficult time.  I've known Juan for over 15 years. He was a good-hearted and kind man. He was a friend that you can count on to make you laugh, give you words of encouragement, or just to talk as he would say "k lo k amigita".  I have been so blessed to have had him as a dear friend.  Now God has opened the gates to heaven for Juan and I know that he will shine down upon us to let us know he is happy. "Juanito" you will be missed dearly. May your memory live on forever.

My sincerest condolences to his entire family, and all those that knew and loved him.

I know of Juan through our limited interactions through our Wage Hour meetings.  At the first moment of meeting Juan, I instantly knew that he was a wonderful, kind and fun person to be around. I pray that his family hold comfort in knowing that Juan did his best in his short time of living. Helping those less fortunate and unable due to their unfortunate circumstances. From what I am reading in this guest book, I am learning more about Juan.  I only wish that I had the priviledge of knowing these things about Juan first hand.  I pray that the work Juan has done does not go in vain. To his family, let the sorrow flow, and as each day passes, so to will the pain.  Hold onto the good memories you have of your father, friend, loved one, companion. Whatever Juan was and meant to you.

We sometimes talk about people who "can't say no." Juan WOULDN'T say no. He never refused to help anyone-- a coworker, friend, family member, even perfect strangers. The lengths Juan went to in helping others had no limits, even when helping cost Juan financially, or was drastically inconvenient, Juan would never let that stand in his way. St James says "Show me your faith without works and I will show you, by my works, my faith." Juan's generosity and compassion were models for all of us who knew him. I hope his children are just as proud of their Dad as he was of them.

I know that words are inadequate at a time like this but I wanted The Perez family to know how very sorry I am for your loss. I know the pain and suffering you all are experiencing. 
It is times like this that our faith is put to the test. We know that we must accept his passing and give thanks for the wonderful life he lived. As sad as it will be, we will always have the memory of him to hold in our hearts. 
The Bible reminds us that "Blessed are those that mourn for they shall be comforted." I pray that this will be especially true for all of you as you mourn your loss. 
I pray that God will give you all the strength to see you through this sad and difficult time. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

My most sincere condolences to Juan's family and loved ones. I hope your love for him, your love for one another and your good memories bring you comfort. It was my good fortune to know Juan through work at Wage Hour. I knew him and will remember him as someone who always added positive energy and value to whatever he did. He was a gentleman, a talented Investigator and someone who always had an encouraging, up-beat and good natured word for the people around him. May God bless him.

The world feels a little colder without the warmth of Juan's smile and friendship. We are so much richer for having known him, to have been so blessed to have had him as a friend & coworker. May he rest in peace and God's grace & healing be with his family.

Words cannot express how heavy our hearts are with the loss of such a wonderful and kind man.  Juan and I were co-workers, friends and he was the big brother I never had. He touched so many people by just being Juan. He was at home talking sports with the guys, but in the next breath he would be sitting at the lunch table with the girls talking about the great bargin he got on a Tommy shirt at Lord & Taylor;(in a nice pastel color:)  I want to send my condolences to the entire Perez family, and I pray that God give you peace and comfort during this difficult time.  Juan is in heaven making new friends and meeting up with old friends who have gone before him.  Gone but never forgotten. Love ya forever.

May he rest in peace with God and his many angels. His kindness, big heart and loving memory will always live on.

On behalf of the entire Department of Labor office in Mountainside, NJ where Juan was a valued member of our team, we wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, his friends all those who knew him and mourn his loss.  As a co-workers we spent a great deal of time together and all of us who know Juan know him to be as sweet and generous a man as there is anywhere.  He devoted himself both professionally and personally to helping others.  When workers, co-workers, friends, family or even people he barely knew sought his help he was always there to give of it freely.  He was joy to be around, always quick to joke or smile, or lend a shoulder to lean on, always ready to talk about his family of which he was so proud and of course to talk about sports, especially his beloved Mets.  He will be profoundly missed by all of us and mourned forever. 

Rest in Peace Juan.  Your time here on earth was well spent.

I'm fortunate to know Wage Hour folks from many offices around our Northeast Region and the country.  Juan Perez is one I will never forget. I got to know him from agency meetings, retirement parties and other events he attended, and I always enjoyed his presence.  He was such a good guy, who was so easy to like.  Though he was quiet and dignified, he was also fun to be around.  I played tennis with him a few times over the years, and though he was clearly more skilled than me, he always eased up to make the contests just a little closer. I might have resented that with others, but with Juan I knew he was just being kind, never condescending. It was only lately that I learned of his many  charitable acts, e.g. taking in homeless people.  Juan was a caring person who helped and enriched others. He is a beautiful soul, and always will be to those who knew him.
