Joseph J Lackovich

Born in Jersey City, NJ, on July 19, 1941 to the late John and Frances Lackovich, Joseph lived in Guttenburg until retiring to Bayville New Jersey.

Joseph was an American Patriot and Army Veteran, as well as a police officer, rising to the rank of Sergeant with the Guttenburg Police Department. He served his country his entire life, and we are grateful for his deep love of country.

He is survived by his longtime partner and companion, Lynne Del Piano, with whom he shared his other interests. These included love of the ocean. Joseph retired to a home on the bay where he and Lynne enjoyed boating and fishing. They also enjoyed gardening.

Joseph was also predeceased by his beloved cousins Ruth Rovetto and her husband Daniel and their son, Neil Rovetto,

Margaret Zustra and her husband Albert, and George J Mcconnell and John McConnell.

He is survived by cousin-in-law Carol McConnell and many loving second cousins- Janice Salcito, Barbara Mazza, Mark McConnell and Sharon (Daisy) McConnell , Kevin McConnell, James McConnell, Michael McConnell, George McConnell, Kathleen Weber, Daniel McConnell, and Thomas McConnell.

No formal services are planned at this time, however the family will be planning a spring remembrance in accordance with Joseph’s final wishes.
