My Condoleces to the Serpico Family. John was a master and a true fireworks craftsman who became a staple at the Italian feasts and fireworks community. John soft spoken with a great sense of humor he will be truly missed.

I just found out that John passed while I was away. I met John while working in Vineland. We became friends almost immediately. I am saddened that I did not get to visit him before his passing. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

"A great finale makes up for a multitude of sin". I remember john saying this to me when I was a kid, and will never forget it.  John was a great friend, mentor, and a true class act.  I had many good times and some bad with john, but all great memories. I will miss you.  Now you have the best seat in the house to watch all those "great finales".  Goodbye JOHN.

John, I sure did have fun working with you each July 4th.  The laughs were immeasurable. I'm glad I got a chance to see you again this past summer. I won't forget my first Rob Roy we shared together.  It was good but I can't say I'll ever have another though. Take care brother, hope we get to see each other again one day.

My condolences go out to the family of John.
Met him when I married my husband John Iannarone.  He was one of his mentors and helped him learn the trade of fireworks.  Fond memories of him.  I am sure if my husband were alive today he would be very saddened by the news.
I am sure they are now rejoicing together in the here after and reminiscing about old times.

So saddened to hear of your passing. We go back to 1961 when as a young teenager you befriended me at Tom Gangemi's election celebration allowing me to launch salutes. Thru the years you brought so many smiles on so many faces at all the celebrations thru out North Jersey. Years and miles kept us out of touch but for the last 10 years we reunited and your friendship meant so much more to me as I looked forward to seeing you at our celebration of the Madonna dei Martiri in Hoboken. Speaking with you on the phone brought us closer and always enjoyed talking about the good old days. John, you have left us but you will always be there in spirit, and each year on that special Saturday in September you shall be deeply missed. Now the torch is passed to Gerard. And as you pass thru the gates of heaven I am certain that many salutes will be fired to welcome you.  May you rest in eternal peace. Will visit you at Holy Name next September.
