Beloved son of John J. Daub, Sr. and Margaret (Schmitt) Daub. Born in Union City, NJ (West Hoboken) on March 18,1926. Loving husband and predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Georgia Lee Turner-Frazier of Baltimore, MD. Survived by his children, his son, John J. Daub III and wife Elaine Maidhoff-Daub of Union City and Lake Luzerne NY., and his daughters Leslie A. Daub Esq. of Whippany NJ. and Dr. Denise M. Daub of Union City, NJ. Survived by his beloved grandchild, Dr. John J. Daub IV and his wife Aleksandra and their son Johnny, a great grandchild who is 1 year old. He is survived by his beloved sister, Bernice (Daub) Biegen of Manalapan, NJ. And her extended family of his nieces and nephews and their children. Alex Ivasenko was Dad’s caregiver and friend for 4 years and an integral part of the family.
John grew up and remained in Hudson County as a lifelong resident, attending St. Peters Prep and St. Peters College in Jersey City, before entering in the US Army during WW2. After the conflict, and while in the reserves, he attended the Baltimore School of Dentistry-University of Maryland, met his dear wife, and setup practice in Union City where he served the public as a family dentist for 53 years. His offices were in his family home since 1905. He was a member of Weehawken VFW Post 1923. He was a past member of the North Hudson Lions, The Hudson County and NJ State Dental Associations. He was a Roman Catholic. He loved his country. His passions in life were his family and so many extended family gatherings, his profession and his generations of patients, his many travel adventures, and tending his rose garden.
Respects can be made at Leber’s Funeral Home in Union City, NJ on 11/28, between 1-5pm. There will be a Funeral Service at St. Rocco RC Church (4206 Kennedy Blvd.) in Union City on 11/29 at 10:30am, followed by interment at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee, NJ.
