Wallace Joseph Fauquet III – 42, of Gales Ferry affectionately known as Wally, passed away Friday 4/21/2023 unexpectedly in a tragic motor vehicle accident. Wally was born in Westerly RI, and grew up in Ledyard, CT.
He is survived by his loving wife Elaine (O’Lone) Fauquet who was his soulmate and the center of his universe. He also leaves behind his 4 children, Joey, Autumn, Jorden, and Ben, his mother Tina Fauquet Williams of Stonington, his brothers Jeffrey and Matthew Fauquet.
He was very close to his wife’s family including Bridgette, Willy, Desiree, and his mother-in-law Candy. Wally loved being an uncle to his four nephews, Lucian, Cameron, Oliver, and RJ. He also loved his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his best friend, his rescue dog Beau.
He was predeceased by his father Wallace Fauquet Jr. and his grandparents Geepa and Par.
He attended the Ledyard Public schools from elementary school through high school. He was skilled in many different fields of work, but he was passionate and proud about obtaining his CDL and being a truck driver. He was employed by Anderson Oil in Ledyard for many years and was currently employed at McCarthy Oil in Quaker Hill where he was considered more than an employee, he was family.
He enjoyed various activities with his grandfather, father, and brothers which involved boating, fishing, and anything water related. He passed down his love of water related activities to his son Jorden, and they enjoyed many adventures together. He also enjoyed playing basketball with his son Ben, was teaching his daughter Autumn to drive, and worked on cars with his son Joey. Wally and Elaine enjoyed seasonal camping at Acorn Acres in Bozrah, where he was known as the go to person by all campers. He would make them feel at home.
Visitation will be Thursday May 4, 2023 from 4- 8 pm. at the Church and Allen Funeral Home 136 Sachem Street Norwich. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to an animal shelter of the donors choice.
HE NEVER MET A STRANGER, SINCE HE BEFRIENDED EVERYONE HE MET. HE WAS SELFLESS AND ALWAYS HELPED EVERYONE WHICH WAS A PRIORITY FOR HIM.
