Job- Marcus P. Job 88 of Windham, formerly of Norwich, died Dec. 16, 2017. He was born in the Bronx NY son of the late Louis and Mary Job. He was employed as a submarine builder at General Dynamic until his retirement. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a semi professional baseball player playing in the Washington Senators farm system, and pitched for many different teams in the Norwich area. He was a 1989 Norwich Hall of Fame Honoree having pitched for 21 years, 3 years professionally. He is survived by his brothers, Louis Job Jr. and his wife Delores of Florida, Alex Job and his wife Joan of Scotland Ct., and Victor Job and his wife Antoinette of Groton. He also leaves his sisters, Emelia Burger and her husband Robert of Marlborough, and Mary Luzzi and her husband John of Florida.
Marcus also leaves a longtime friend, Jean Carboni of Franklin. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Julius Job. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Dec. 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Johns Church Uncasville. Burial will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery Uncasville.
