Private graveside services for Violet Marie LaFountain 82, of Tyler, Texas, will be held by Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mrs. LaFountain died April 10, 2020 of natural causes. She was born on October 15, 1937 to Polk and Archaline Thrash. She graduated two years early from John Tyler High School, attended Tyler Junior College for nursing. She attended Texas Women’s University in Denton, TX and achieved her Bachelors in Sociology, Psychology and Law Enforcement.
She is preceded in death by her son, Mark Vaught and husband, Harry LaFountain.
Survived by her two sons, Alex Vaught and Will Vaught, two sisters, Ione Bostick and Jenell Torbett, two grandchildren Riley Vaught and Kelsey Vaught.
