Vada is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Mathew Blocker, and her cherished sons: Spencer (19), Ethan (17), Austin (16), Tristin (16), and Kiser (6). She is also survived by her mother, Elise Whisenant; her father, Elwood Clay Zipper; her siblings, Gabrielle Zipper, Jerread Zipper, Stephanie Sutton, Bryan Simmons, and Kristi Steinman; her nieces, Zoey Smith, Ava Justice, and Rylie Armitage; her nephews, Gunner Justice and Atlas Kimbrough; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Vada was also a devoted foster mother to nine children, providing them with love and care. Her vibrant spirit and generous heart touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, located at 12053 State Hwy 64, Tyler, TX 75704.
A memorial service to remember Vada and to offer comfort to all who loved her will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 2929 W NW Loop 323, Tyler, TX 75702. Zoom information is available upon request.

Loved ones affectionately recall that during challenging times, Vada would remind herself to “breathe.” We eagerly anticipate the day when Jehovah will tell her to breathe once more, and with that breath, we will joyfully welcome her back into our lives forever.
