Thomas White Kestler, 52, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 1, 2021. Funeral services will be held at The Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul in Tyler at 2:00 p.m. on Friday June 4,2021 with Father Hank Lanik officiating. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, June 3rd, 5-7pm at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Phillip Watkins, Conner Kestler, Marc Webb, Zachary Kestler, Shane Pfeffer, and Brad Cooper will serve as pallbearers.
Tom was born in Morgan City, LA, on September 23, 1968 to Thomas and Judy Kestler. He graduated from Bellville High School in 1987 and went on to earn a degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A& M University. He moved to Tyler and has worked at Trane Technologies for the past 26 years.
In 1998, he married his soulmate, Julie. Together they were blessed with two children, Shelby Nicole, and Zachary Thomas. Tom was a skilled and avid sportsman. As a foursome, the Kestler’s enjoyed many happy days of baseball, hunting, fishing, traveling, cooking, and gathering with loved ones, and friends.
He is also survived by his brother, Bryan, and wife, Kristen Kestler, as well as by his two sisters, Kristi, and husband, Brian Schumann, and Kelli and husband, Brent Evatt. Additionally, he leaves behind his sister-in-law, Jana and husband, Brooks Cottrell, as well as his mother-in-law, Flo Stout, his eight nieces and nephews, and, Roux, his beloved Labrodor retriever.
Tom was an honorable man of faith, integrity, and immense wisdom who will be missed by all who had the great fortune to have shared time with him.
To further celebrate his amazing life, there will be a gathering at the Kestler home in Flint, Texas immediately following the funeral on Friday.
