Shirley Rae Smith, age 89, of Tyler, Texas passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Monday, January 22, 2024. She was born on Monday, December 17, 1934 to Samuel and Winnona Davidson in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Over the years she proudly worked at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, Tyler Junior College as an IT technician, and Liberty Mutual Insurance. Shirley had a creative side that flourished well through her jewelry making, and flower arranging. She was a caring and devout Christian woman that attended Grace Community Church. Shirley absolutely loved her family and was always generous and forgiving. She had the biggest heart of anyone you could hope to meet, and all of those who had the pleasure of knowing her will miss her deeply.
A private family graveside service for Shirley will be held Monday, February 5, 2024 at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
