Funeral services for Sandra Shirley Willingham, 68, of Tyler are scheduled for 10:00am, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Lloyd James Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Mike Daniels officiating. A burial will be held in Cathedral in the Pines. Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mrs. Willingham passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014, in Tyler.
She was born on April 19, 1946 in Fort Worth to the late Thomas Clayton Shirley and Maymerle Batsell. She did missionary work in Monterrey, Mexico. She also loved to ride horses.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Clayton “Clay” Socia.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Bob Willingham Sr., of Tyler; daughters, Leslie Socia Stringer and husband Kerry, of Ben Wheeler, and Holly Weiss Malloy and husband Rick, of Tyler; sons, Noble Lee Willingham, of Tyler and Billy Bob Willingham Jr., of Tyler; grandchildren, Lauren Socia Vega, Ashley C. Lynn, Scott Socia and Sandra “Beth” Lynn; great grandchildren, Kason Basham, Malachi Socia, and Luca Socia; sister Maymerle Brown, of Tyler; brother Michael Shirley, of Pawling, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, 11125 Spur 248, Tyler, 75707; Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, 75701; or a charity of choice.
