They were playing games on his phone.  She offered her altar serving today at Mass for Ronny.

We lost our dad when I was 19 years old. Five years later, it was extremely difficult to be getting married without our father to be able to give me away. Ronny represented our dad and walked me down the aisle. As the doors of the church opened, I looked over at Ronny, who looked frightened and nervous.        
      “Are you ready?” I asked him.
      “Yeah.” I noticed in the tone of his voice that he was nervous. I was asking him to stand in for Dad, which if you knew Daddy…very tough shoes to fill. 
      “We got this. Let’s go,” as confident as I could be, to reassure my big brother that it’s going to be okay.
      Ronny always wanted to protect and watch over everyone he loved and cared about, and representing Dad, I am very proud of him.
Love you, big brother. Thank you for being there for every single important moment in my life.

My brother Ronny was blessed with a heart full of love for our children. He helped care for them at our parents' home when they were little. He loved to cook for them and buy donuts. They are blessed to have many happy memories of their Uncle Ronny. On one of his visits to our home, Ronny and I went riding on our ATVs by Spring Creek and he had such a blast! He said that was one of the best times in his life. It was his first time riding, and he rode like a pro! He was a protector and always offered to help if we ever needed him. I had the blessing of spending time with Ronny, during his time in the hospital. Our conversations were meaningful, enlightening, and revealing. Eternal rest grant unto Ronny, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
