A Memorial service for Robin Rice, Jr., 66, of Tyler is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Christ Episcopal Church, 118 S. Bois D Arc Ave. in Tyler under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
He passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 in Tyler.
Robert Dean Rice, Jr. was born on December 9, 1949 in Galveston to the late Robert Dean Rice, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Scruggs Rice.
He was in the U.S. Navy Reserve, was a house inspector, real estate agent and a hunter and fisherman.
Robin is survived by his sister, Finley Rice Wood, and her husband Al of Placitas, New Mexico; step-sisters Caroline Hundley of Dallas and Mary Carter of Houston; step-brother, Mark Warren of Jefferson City, Missouri; nephew, Jamie Rice and his wife, Candice of Dallas; great-nephew, Dylan Rice of Dallas; dedicated friends “The 4 Amigos”: Doyle, Jimmy, Tony, Robin; hunting buddies: Mark, A.C., and Willis; other close friends: Paul, Brandon and Teresa and Judge Bass.
