Robert “Bob” Wilson Miller Jr., age 73, of Tyler, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1951 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Robert Wilson Miller, Sr. and Imogene West Miller.
Bob moved to Tyler, Texas after graduating from high school, and after some college, went on to become a tire builder and general operator at Kelly Springfield-Goodyear Tire Plant in Tyler, TX. Bob always had a love for the great outdoors and spent most of his free time shooting his guns and bow. He also loaded his own ammunition and rebuilt engines. Other hobbies included bowling, tennis, chess, throwing darts, and working crossword and sudoku puzzles. Bob was interested in natural healing and helped many people through acupressure and massage therapy. His favorite saying was, “If I were any better, I’d be twins!” And he always enjoyed laughing with friends and family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Miller, Sr. and Imogene Miller, and his sister Cynthia “Susie” Severin.
Bob is survived by daughter Michelle Dyess of Tyler, Texas and her sons Jacob Butz and Joshua Dyess; daughter Christina Miller of Tyler, Texas and her daughters Kassidy McGee, Mikayla McGee and Kelsey McGee; and daughter Alicia Miller of Athens, Texas and her daughters Kennedy Billington and Kehlani Brown, and sons Kabrin Brown and Kylen Brown.
A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 East First Street, Tyler, TX 75701-3308. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
