Robert Glynn Grimes

Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery in Jacksonville under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.

Robert passed away on December 12, 2015 in Tyler.

He was born on August 24, 1938 in Jacksonville to the late Troy and Lillian Grimes.

Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Booth Grimes; his children: Tonya Grimes; Robert Grimes, Jr. and wife Jeanine, all of Tyler; and Vicki Grimes, of Houston. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Michael and Aaron Grimes, of Tyler; one brother, Vernon Notley and wife Peggy, of Euless; sister, Onabelle Hart, of Tyler; sister-in-law, Wanda Williams, of Azle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
