R. L. Henson

Mr. Henson was born on May 20, 1930 in Kaufman County, Texas to William Sloan and Nora Georgia Anderson Henson, and passed away on June 10, 2016 in Tyler. Formerly of Dallas, Mr. Henson lived in Tyler since 1970 and was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.

Mr. Henson worked for Price International for 37 years.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Julia Ann Henson, of Tyler; sons, Robert Henson and wife Donna, of Chandler and Kyle Henson and wife Amy, of Chandler; daughter, Peggy West and husband Jeff, of Driftwood; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Ollie Henson, of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Henson was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife of 31 years, Betty Henson; and 6 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701.

Visitation will be 4-6pm Sunday, June 12, 2015 at the funeral home.
