Petra Walker

Petra was a member of the Kilgore Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star where she held several stations, most notably Worthy Matron in 1986 as well as in the Grand Chapter of Texas. She worked for Gregg County Courthouse, Southland Corporation, Petco-Davis Kemp and as office manager for the family’s plumbing business. She loved to sing and possessed the most beautiful soprano singing voice that she used to praise God in her church as well as in her Eastern Star work.

She is survived by her children William L. Walker Jr. of Gladewater, Texas, Bernie Walker of San Antonio, Texas and Debra Hebert of Katy, Texas as well as 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Petra is preceded in death by her husband, William L. Walker Sr. and 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.

A time of visitation for Petra will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur Monday, December 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. A committal will occur Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
