Peggy Sue Pope-Longfellow

Services for Peggy Sue Pope-Longfellow, 55, of Tyler are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Skorheim officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.

Mrs. Longfellow passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011 in Tyler.

She was born on September 1, 1955 in Taylor to Dick and Bettie Pope. She was employed at Southside Bank as a department manager. She was known throughout Texas for her tennis. She loved the beach. She served on the board of East Texas Crisis Center, was a member of the Tyler Symphony League, volunteered at schools and taught aerobics.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dick Pope in 2009

She is survived by her husband, Todd Longfellow of Tyler, mother Bettie Pope of Burnet, son, Will Pope of Tyler and daughter, Mandy Crowe of Lubbock; brother, Rick Pope and wife Ginny of Dallas; step-son, Cameron Longfellow of Tyler; niece Callie Pope; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Floyd and Glee Longfellow and canine son, Tex.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to East Texas Crisis Center, 2026 Republic Dr., Tyler 75701 or the charity of one’s choice.
