Melissa Gutierrez

Melissa Gutierrez also known as Meli or Mel of Hodgkins Illinois passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the age of 37 she was born on August 9, 1985 in Berwyn Illinois she grew up in Hodgkins Illinois or also known as “Lenzi “she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer but fought it out hard till the end. That never stopped her from singing and dancing playing Loteria with the family and always cooking, cleaning and doing laundry. She was the magnet of the family she always kept everyone together every time she got a chance. She had a big heart made of gold and always made everyone feel welcome in her home and never turned anyone away she would give you the shirt off her back. She’s proceeded in death by her maternal grandmother Ofelia Gutierrez and paternal grandparents Juan Francisco and Maria Patrocinio Frausto Gutierrez. She is survived by her parents Theresa and Luis Gutierrez and brother’s Michael, Jamie, Louie, Julio, Francisco “BA”, Alex, Ricky, Angel and her sister’s Letisha “Lety”, Renee Adriana and Ashley. Her children Andy, Sadie, Gustavo “Bo” their Father Arnulfo Sanchez and Emiliano, Joaquin, Sebastian and Adalynn “Mosa” and her Husband Gilberto Hernandez and so many uncles and aunts and many many nieces and nephews. Melissa left us with so many memories and can’t write all them down but we would like everyone to join us to share them at the Lone Star Church we thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts and hope to see everyone to soon celebrate her life.

A a time of visitation for Melissa will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 E 1st St, Tyler, Texas 75701. A a celebration of life will occur Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Lone Star Church, 604 W. 4th St., Tyler, Texas 75701.
