May Helen May

May Helen May, 89 of Tyler, was born into this life on January 20, 1934 in Tyler, Texas to the late Larry Marion Sims and Irma Watson Sims. She went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

Born and raised in Tyler she attended and graduated from Tyler High School. Her early career began as a seamstress. She later worked for Standard Oil Company, then in 1966 worked for Pan American Petroleum Company and finally was with AMOCO.

She married the love of her life Bob May, whom preceded her in death. She all=ways considered herself as a homemaker and loving wife to Bob. He had a dream to ride in a fast, pretty car and they loved traveling especially to San Antonio in Texas and throughout Europe.

She was survived by numerous Cousin-in-laws, Bob’s family, and by many friends and her church family.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at West Erwin Church of Christ with Dr. Bill Allen officiating, under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler. She will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery next to Bob.
