Born in Texarkana,TX. She was adopted by Nance and Loris Ferrell who loved her unconditionally. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School.
She enjoyed gardening in the spring and summer, spending the majority of her time outside tending to her roses and various plants. She loved watching her hummingbirds, and always kept the feeder full.
An artistic woman, she could do just about any type of crafting. From pottery, painting, intricate needlepoint, paper maché, she could do it all.
Feeding the people she loved brought her great joy. And she always prepared for a small army.
She retired from Suddenlink Communications in 2017. During retirement she enjoyed spending time with her faithful canine companion Jessie, who followed her wherever she went.
She is preceded in death by her father, Nance Ferrell, mother, Loris Ferrell, and daughter, Amanda Quinton.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Woods; granddaughters: Morgan Hartsfield, Allyssa Hall, Tiffany Woods, and Reagan Woods; grandsons: Dalton Skipper, and Trey Woods, as well as multiple great grandchildren.
A time of Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler, TX.
