Services for Lou Corbin, 81, of Whitney formerly of Tyler, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Lloyd James Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Harper Jr. and Rev. Topher Stockton officiating. Burial will be in Cathedral in the Pines under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mrs. Corbin passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015, in Whitney.
She was born on April 27, 1933, in Shelby County to the late Howard and Velma Andrews Harper. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She worked for 45 years doing medical records transcriptions at various locations including Mother Frances Hospital and Medical Center Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Oliver Corbin, in 1971.
She is survived by her daughter Delena Loughmiller and husband Philip; son, Bruce Corbin and wife Chuen Mi; sisters, Lilly Bixby, and Lucille Faubus; brothers, Bill Harper and Ernest Harper; grandchildren, Joshua Loughmiller, Leya Stockton, Jonathan Loughmiller, Miragea Corbin and Carlson Corbin; great-grandchildren Faith Craig, Drew Stockton and Asher Stockton.
